- 10 LARGE EGGS
- 1 C SUGAR
- 4 1/2 C MILK
- 1 tbl VANILLA
- 1/2 - 2/3 C GRAPENUT CEREAL

Step 1
Preheat 325'
Beat the eggs until combined.
beat in the sugar
Continue beating until the eggs increase in volume and the color of the mixture lightens about 2 - 3 minutes.
Meanwhile heat the milk to just below the boiling point.
Also boil a large kettle of water
Slowly stir the hot milk into the eggs, then beat in the vanilla. Sprinkle the grapenuts over the bottom of a 3 qt baking pan
Strain the custard mixture thru a fine sleeve into the baking pan.
This step removes the string parts of the egg whites.
sprinkle nutmeg over the top
Place baking pan in a large deep pan and pour boiling water onto pan so it comes half way up the sides of the baking pan.
Place on lowest shelf in oven
Bake 50 - 55 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean
start checking after 45 minutes to prevent over cooking
