Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (6 oz.) package semi-sweet chocolate chips

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375°.

Combine butter, water and chocolate squares in a saucepan; bring to boil and remove from heat. In a bowl, combine flour, 2 cups sugar, baking soda and salt. Stir flour mixture into saucepan. Add 2 eggs and sour cream; mix well. Pour batter into a greased 10 x 15-inch jelly roll pan.

Cream together cream cheese and remaining sugar until well blended; add remaining egg and mix. Spoon over chocolate batter. Swirl a knife through batter several times for a marble effect. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
