Ingredients

  • 1/2 ½ cup rice
  • 4 tbs. butter
  • 1/4 ¼ lb. sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 ½ cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 ½ cup chopped celery
  • 1 1/4 1 ¼ cups water
  • 1 cube beef bouillon
  • Salt

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350 degrees, over medium heat cook the rice until golden, about 5 minutes. Pour the mixture into a casserole dish. Heat 2 tbs. butter, add the mushrooms, onions, and celery; cook until tender, about 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and heat until boiling. Pour the skillet mixture over the rice and bake for 35 minutes until the liquid evaporates. Toss with 2 tbs. butter.
