Ingredients

  • 1 pkg yellow cake mix
  • 1 pkg vanilla instant pudding
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 3 granny smith apples, peeled and chopped
  • 20 caramels (1/2 pkg)
  • 3 tbsp milk

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat oven to 350F. Grease and flour a tube pan. Beat cake mix, pudding mix, water, eggs and oil in a large bowl with mixer on low speed until blended. Beat on high speed for 2 mins. Stir in apples. Pour into prepared pan.

2. Bake 50-60 mins or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan for 15 mins. Loosen cake from side of pan; invert onto wire rack. Gently remove pan. Cool cake completely. Transfer to plate.

3. Microwave caramels and milk in microwaveable bowl on high 1 1/2 mins, stirring every 30 seconds until blended. Cool 10 mins or until slightly thickened. Drizzle over cake.
