Preparation

Step 1

To make the meatballs, use your hands to combine ground beef, onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, eggs and bread crumbs, and soy sauce in a bowl. When thoroughly mixed, shape into meatballs about the size of golf balls. Roll them in flour and shake off excess.

Heat olive oil over medium heat in a skillet and add the meatballs. Cook until brown on all sides. Set aside to cool. After cooling you can freeze the meatballs for later if you want.

To prepare the vodka sauce, heat olive oil in a large pot or pan over medium heat. Saute garlic, onion and parsley until onion becomes translucent, approximately 2 to 3 minutes. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, and heavy whipping cream. Stir well. Add salt, black pepper red pepper flakes, and finally the vodka. Continue to stir and let simmer for about 2-3 minutes or until the smell of alcohol is not as strong.

Add meatballs and simmer for 10 minutes
