Ingredients
- 2/3 c. soft margarine
- 1 2/3 c. granulated sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 1/4 c. cake or pastry flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/3 c. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Cream margarine, sugar and eggs. Make sure it is well mixed. Add dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with water and vanilla. Use low speed if using a mixer. Pour into well greased 8" round cake pans or a 13 x 9 pan. Bake at 350 F. for round pans or 40 minutes for 13 x 9 pan.
