Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 c milk
- 3/4 c eggnog
- 1/2 c water
- 1/2 t vanilla
- 3 c flour
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1 T baking powder
- 1/4 t salt
- oil for frying
- icing sugar to dust

Step 1
Beat together eggs, milk, eggnog, water & vanilla.
Mix together in another bowl flour, sugar, baking powder & salt. Mix into egg mixture.
Batter needs to be runny as it has to go through bottom of funnel.
Heat oil. Test doness by taking 1 teaspoon of batter and pouring it into oil. Batter should rise to top almost immediately and start browning.
Cover bottom of funnel with finger. Fill with 1/2 c batter. Release finger and move funnel in spiral motion to make 1 cake. Quickly cover bottom to stop flow. Batter in funnel should make 3 to 4 cakes.
Once 1 side brown, flip to brown other side. Remove from oil with slotted spoon and let drain on paper towels. Cool, dust with icing sugar.
If freezing, make sure completely cooled. Layer between cakes should be wax or parchment paper.
