Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 1 tlb vinegar
- 1 tsp baking soda (heaping)

Step 1
Generously butter sides and bottom of a 9 inch square baking pan. Set aside
Combine sugar, syrup & vinegar in heavy sauce pan Cook over medium heat, stirring until candy therometer reaches 300 degrees or till candy turns brittle when shopped in cold water.
Remove sugar mixture from heat and with a wooden spoon quickley stir in baking soda. Mixture will foam quickly creating the "sponge" texture.
Pour molten sugar into the buttered pan and let cook competely.
Remove sponge candy from pan. Break into pieces.
