Ingredients
- Brine:
- Pickling cuc's
- alum
- dillweed stems
- garlic cloves
- 2 c water
- 1&1/4 c 7% vinegar
- 1 T pickling(coarse) salt
- 1 t mustard seed

Preparation
Step 1
wash cuc's
stuff jars with cuc's, dill, 4 to 6 garlic cloves to each quart jar, end of a teaspoon handle amount of alum into each jar.
Bring to rolling boil, water, vinegar, salt and mustard seed for 2 minutes.
Pour into jars to 1/4 inch from top. Wipe rims and put on lids to finger tight.
Heat oven to 250 with rack moved to the lowest level,
Place jars into oven for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and let seal on counter. Will be "pickled" in about 6 weeks.
