Ingredients
- Toppings:
- 3 C. all purpose flour
- 2 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 C. warm water
- 1 Tbsp softened butter
- 3 Tbsp water
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp baking soda
- kosher salt

Preparation
Step 1
1) Preheat oven to 400*. In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, salt, water and butter; Beat until smooth. Sprinkle with 1-2 Tbsp water if dough is too stiff. Cover and let rest in a warm place, about 30 min.
2) Punch dough down. Turn onto a slightly greased surface; divide into six pieces. Roll each piece into a 24in rope.
3) For topping combine water, sugar, and baking soda in a shallow bowl. shape each rope into a pretzel and dip into baking solution. sprinkle with coarse salt.
4) Place on parchment-lined baking sheet at 400* for 12-15 minutes and then brush with melted butter.
