Ingredients
- 750ml bottle of inexpensive dry red wine (San Pedro)
- 1 bottle spiced wine (Jamestown Cellars Settlers' Spiced Wine)
- 2/3 cup of raw cane sugar or white sugar, Agave, brown sugar, molasses (yiur choice)
- Juice and peel of one small lemon
- Slice oranges, lemons, grapefruit
- 2 cardamon pods
- 4 cloves
- 2 Anise Stars
- 10 Allspice Berries
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 piece of crystalized ginger
- add 1/2 cup of Cointreau Liquor or you may add your favorite liquor to individual servings

Preparation
Step 1
Put everything in a heavy bottomed pan or my preference is a slo cooker. Mixture should never boil.
Strain and serve.
Serve in small mugs (straining out the peel and spices), with optional shot of brandy, kirsch or other liqueur.
Notes: Increase the amount proportionately to serve more people.
