Ingredients

    cup butter, melted

  • 1

    cup sugar

  • 2

    eggs

  • 1

    teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2

    cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/3

    cup cocoa

  • 1/4

    teaspoon salt

  • 1/2

    cup chopped pecans

  • ice cream

  • hot fudge sauce

    cup sugar

  • 1/2

    cup cocoa

    can (5-oz) evaporated milk

  • 1/3

    cup light corn syrup

  • 1/3

    cup margarine

  • 1

    teaspoon vanilla

Directions

In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until blended. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually add the flour, cocoa and salt. Stir in nuts. Pour into a greased 9-in. pie pan. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until almost set. Serve with whipped cream and strawberries if desired. Make hot fudge sauce. Combine sugar and cocoa in small saucepan. Blend in evaporated milk and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly, until mixture boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. Serve warm.
