  • 1.2 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups bran flakes
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 pkg crisco
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

1. Mix the dry ingredients as if making pie crust cutting in the shortening to the dry ingredients.
2. Add the soda to warm water and mix thoroughly.
3. Add this to the dry ingredient mix and blend until all the water is absorbed.
4. Roll thin and bake at 425 for 10-12 minutes.
