By

Super cool. Super whipped. The secret to this airy, layered take on a classic fall dessert is the delectable, creamy combo of cream cheese and Cool Whip.

REVIEWS:

I made this last night to bring to Thanksgiving dinner today. To my dismay, there were THREE regular pumpkin pies already there so I assumed mine would not really get eaten. Well...guess who's pie was gone at the end of the day?? This was so delicious and simple. My son loved it as well as everyone else who had a piece. Also, this could easily have made 2 pies. Just FYI for anyone reading this review. :)

This pie was delicious! While it is an "instant" pie so to speak, it certainly didn't taste like one. The only change I would make is in the directions - use a fork, not a whisk. Too hard to get the good stuff out of the whisk, LOL! Don't change a thing, the pie is perfect just as written.

My family loved it. I will make it again!!!!! Thanks for the recipe!

This pie was okay, I was a little disappointed. It didn't set up that great and had a bit too much spice. There was a lot of filling leftover so I made a tiny pie with homemade crust. I think with a few changes I will still make again.

I am a pumpkin pie fanatic so I was very excited to try this recipe! This was pretty good. I thought it was a nice change, next time I may use a little less clove. Thanks :)

This was really easy and fun to put together. This made a nice weeknight dessert that we will definately be making again! Thanks for posting!

Wonderful! My daughter's first pumpkin pie and we all loved it. Thank you for this recipe!

Wanted to share this but way too late! I have shared this recipe with family and friends over the years. I have to make it every year for Thanksgiving, or i'm not invited! Even people who don't like pumpkin pie will love this!

What a wonderful quick and easy pie to make. The only change I will make next time is to cut the cloves back by half ( just a personal preferance). Comes together quick and is so tasty.

The best! We are not traditional pumpkin pie eaters in my house. However, this one always goes qucikly! I needed to find the recipe for this year(Thanksgving Morning...LOL) and sure enough it was here on Zaar. Thanks!

This is awesome, I made it once and everyone just loved it!

Clearly this is perfection. I've made this for the past few years and now have my whole office using it. It's flawless!

I made this for my family about 15 years ago for Thanksgiving dinner. I have had to make it every year since them, the entire family loves this pumpkin pie and it is so very easy to make. I have to make a minimum of 5 every year now !! You will love it !!

Saw this in Kraft too. I made it for Christmas and everyone liked it, tasted just like a baked pie! Yummy!

I made this last night to take to our friends' house for dinner. I wasn't able to let it chill the entire 4 hours, so it wasn't completely set (my fault!), but despite that it got rave reviews!! The spices give it a real kick and several people commented that they really liked that. It has a lighter texture than pumpkin pie and the cream cheese and graham cracker crust added make a yummy combination! Also, it was simple enough that my 3 year old could help and was very easy to mix up. Thank you so much!! We'll make this again!

Great Pie everyone loved it. Very easy to make. I did make Tigerlilly #2 crust with the graham crackers and Pecans. WOW. Used French Vanilla pudding and mixed the pudding first then the pumpkin and increased the spices a little.(personal preference) This is a keeper. Will make again.

This was sooo good. I made my own graham cracker crust as I like it very moist and sweet. Also, I thought that I had ground ginger, but didn't, so I added 1/2 t of pumpkin pie spice. The taste was pumpkin pie..but more subtle. Thanks so much for a great recipe!

Well yum! We did a little pre-Thanksgiving test tonight and it was a hit. DH is the big pumpkin pie lover around here and he hasn't tried it yet, but the kids and I loved it. I'll probably still do the traditional pumpkin pie for Thursday but I'm making another one of these too.

This is DH's absolute FAVORITE! I also use the French vanilla pudding and it makes it so much more Yummy! I make it every Thanksgiving!

This is now the "must have" pumpkin pie at our house. It is easy, has no exotic ingredients, and it looks like you slaved over it. Thanks!

Ridiculously Easy to make! My DH said it was definitely "excellent". I used a Nilla wafer pie crust and it was really tasty. For sure let it set for at least 4 hours - I thought 1 hour would be fine but it was just too soft to cut and serve. Will certainly be making this again!

Very good pie. I baked my own crust using 1 cup graham crackers, 1/2 cup pecans, 3 tbsp white sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnammon, 1/4 cup butter and a pinch pumpkin spice. Placed it in the oven at 350 for 8 mins and let it cool. Also, followed the advice of others and mixed the pudding with the milk first, then added the pumpkin and spices. To the pumpkin layer, I did add another pinch of pumpkin spice. Thank you loads for the posting. I will be making it again.

This was a big hit at our holiday party. Even the people who don't like pumpkin enjoyed this thoroughly. It was easy to make and a welcome twist on the traditional pumpkin pie. I was out of cloves but it didn't adversely impact the flavor of the pie.

I gave this 5 stars. I got the recipe from Kraft and it was a hit last thanksgiving. I wanted to make something different then plain old pumpkin pie and everyone loved it. Very yummy and easy.

I love watching my 4 year old son in the kitchen and he just loves this pie and is so proud each time he makes it. I do not like pumpkin pies because of all the spices and I really like this recipe because the spices are not so strong. We had this for Thanksgiving 2006.

Everyone loved this and fought over taking home the leftovers! Pretty sweet so doesn't need much extra Cool Whip on top. Very easy and super good recipe. Thanks!

Great easy recipe to add to the Thanksgiving table! Thanks for the recipe!

Great Recipe! I love how easy this pie comes together. The cream cheese in the whipped cream really gives a nice subtle cheesecake cake taste to the pie. I could not get the cream cheese to become smooth, so the whipped cream layer had visible cream cheese specks. It did not hamper the taste of the pie at all. Very creamy. Not as spicy as traditional pumpkin pie and has a much creamier texture - so people who are not fans of traditional pumpkin pie would love this recipe.

My family loved this pie. It is very easy to make and went together very quickly (my kind of recipe). It is a nice change from the "traditional" pumpkin pie. I will definitely be making this one again. Thank you for posting this recipe. It is a keeper!!

Yummy Yummy! My step son loves pumpkin pie and cheesecake. What a great way to have both!! I made 2 of these... didn't have any left. But we did have regular pumpking left. I sent it home with SIL. I have since made 2 more and they are gone. Time to make another. This is so easy and the best part is NO BAKING!! THank You!!

I love pumpkin pie anyway and this just made it better. Thanks so much for posting it, it gave me an idea for thanksgiving.

Oh boy, what a treat! It dosen't get any better than this if you are a pumpkin lover like myself! I doubled the cream cheese layer but I don't know why I even bothered. The pumpkin mousse layer is what makes this pie so dreamy! I had admired this recipe for years in magazines during the holiday season and I have no idea why I waited so long to make it! I could eat the top layer by itself by the bowlfuls! Thanks Sackville Girl! Awesome recipe! BTW, I'm thinking that this pie in frozen state would be awesome for summertime!

Made this for Thankgiving and it was a HUGE hit! Everyone loved it and we'll be making another for Christmas!

This is our favorite Pumpkin Pie! I had misplaced my recipe and was glad to find that you had posted it here. We have this every year at Thanksgiving and Christmas. The pie is easy to make and looks like you put a lot more effort in to it than you actually do to make it. Just the right blend of flavors. The pudding mix in the pumpkin makes it "set up" to a nice custard consistency and adding the cream cheese to the cool whip thickens it enough so that it supports the pumpkin layer and tastes GREAT !!!

This was very good pie. The cheesecake and pumpkin flavors went very well together. I made this for Thanksgiving in place of a traditional pumpkin pie, and they went quick. My only suggestion is to add a little more cinnamon and flavoring, and perhaps sugar, to the pumpkin mixture. It needs just a little, tiny bit of oomph.

I made this for a Thanksgiving dinner I went to and, 3 days later, I made it AGAIN (and I'll probably make it for Christmas dinner too). This was a very easy recipe to make. I made it as written except I forgot to take the whipped cream topping to the dinner so we had the low cal version (tee hee). This was a delicious ending to our holiday meal! Thank you for sharing this recipe!!!

This was a hugh hit at our Thanksgiving. I love the cream cheese and pumpkin combination. No need for the extra cool whip. Thanks for posting.

This was some pretty awesome pie and so easy to make! I was surprised at how high the pumpkin layer was...you could probably half that part and get away with it, but why would you?...it's soooo tasty! I used French Vanilla Cool Whip, otherwise, followed recipe exact. I used a whisk for all mixing, but a hand mixer may have been a bit easier and quicker. I tried to eat some before it chilled for the full 4 hours and it was a little soft, so I would suggest waiting...it's worth it! Thanks for sharing this recipe...I'll be making it again and again.

I came on to post this recipe, but will review it instead. :) I make this every holiday season and it is always a favorite. I am always surprised at how good it tastes each year! The cream cheese layer just makes the pie.

This pie is fabulous. The blend of spices was absolutely perfect. I made this as "healthy" as I could by substituting 2 sugar free vanilla puddings, Neufchatel cheese, fat free whipped topping, Splenda, and low-fat milk. I even found a "low-carb" graham cracker crust. It set up perfectly and was almost guilt free! Thank you for posting.

YUMMMY! I used the French Vanilla pudding as suggested and subsituted low fat milk, cool whip and cream cheese - no one seemed to notice and my guests loved it. I omitted the ginger and added some pumpkin pie spice and nutmeg instead, thanks for a great pumpkin pie, I'll be making this again.

This is THE BEST pumpkin pie!! I've been using this recipe for years and much prefer it to the regular pumpkin pie. Like Elmolvsu said though I also mix the milk and pudding together first to make sure the pudding is mixed well. Great recipe!!

I was going to post this recipe, but I see someone has long since beaten me to it! :) This is my favorite pumpkin pie recipe (the traditional pie gets tiring). I've made at least one at Thanksgiving for the last several years. I like to use French vanilla pudding in mine, and have tried the cheesecake pudding once, but didn't like it as well. The French vanilla gives the pumpkin mixture an even richer taste. And no baking involved (you're busy enough with everything else). You will definitely enjoy this recipe.! :)

This is my most favorite pumpkin pie. It is a tradition in my house that my dad and I make this together every year the day before Thanksgiving. Just a note about the directions - I always mix the milk and the pudding together and then add the pumpkin and spices. I have found that this makes sure the pudding is completely mixed together.
