Ingredients
- 1 pound round steak, cut into thin trips
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 1/2 cup mushrooms
- 1 1/2 cups celery, sliced diagonally
- 1 cup green pepper, in 1 inch cubes
- 1/2 cup green onion, 1 inch pieces
- 1 an beef broth or onion soup
- 1/4 package onion soup mix
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
- Water chestnuts (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
Brown the meat in oil.
Add remaining ingredients (except cornstarch and water) and cook for 20 minutes, until meat is tender.
Stir in the cornstarch and water until thickened.
Serve with rice and hot tea.
