Ingredients

  • 6 T unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup purple puree
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 T flour blend
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats, ground in food processor
  • 1 T cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • cooking spray
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Spray the bottom, not sides, of 13x9 inch or 9 inch square baking pan.

Melt butter and chocolate chips together. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. In another bowl, stir together eggs, vanilla, sugar, and purple puree. Combine this mixture with the chocolate. In bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Add this to chocolate mixture and blend thoroughly. Mix in walnuts and pour into pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Allow to cool completely before cutting, and use a plastic or butter knife. Dust with powdered sugar. Keep in refrigerator, covered tightly.
