Ingredients

  • 6 bacon strips, diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 celery ribs, chopped
  • 1/4 C flour
  • 1 quart half and half
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled, 1/2" cubes
  • 2 cans cream of celery soup
  • 2 T parsley
  • 1 T worcestershire sauce
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 t pepper
  • 1 C sliced carrots
  • 1 C green beans
  • 1 can cream-style corn

Preparation

Step 1

Sauce onion and celery in bacon drippings, sprinkle with flour, stir. Gradually add cream. Stir into pot , soup, parsley, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for one minute. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 25 minutes. Add carrots and beans; cover and simmer 15 minutes until tender. Stir in corn and bacon.
