Ingredients
- 1 cup rice
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 ½ onion, chopped
- 3 tbs. oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 ½ green pepper, chopped
- 2 1/2 2 ½ cups stewed tomatoes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. chilli powder

Step 1
Wash rice, drain, and allow to dry well. Heat oil in a skillet, add rice. Cook constantly until lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Add onions, garlic, pepper, and beef. Stir often, cook until onion is limp and lightly browned. Add tomatoes and seasoning. Cover and let simmer 25 minutes, or until rice is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed. Let stand covered for 5 minutes.
