Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. beef cut into 3/4-inch cubes
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, diced
- 3 stalks celery, diced
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1/2 package onion soup mix
- 3/4 cup dry red wine
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 teaspoon basil
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Brown meat in Dutch oven with a little oil. Add vegetables and saute until tender.
Mix remaining ingredients and add to the Dutch oven. Cover and simmer (stirring occasionally) for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
