Ingredients

  • Biscuits:
  • ¼ cup shortening
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 fryer chicken, cut up, wash thoroughly, pat dry with paper towel
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 2¼ cup Bisquick baking mix
  • ⅔ cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

For chicken
Mix flour, salt, pepper, and paprika in a paper bag. Shake 3 or 4 pieces chicken at a time, to coat completely. Place, skin side down, in single layer in baking pan. Bake 45 minutes, then turn over. Bake 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, drain 1 large can of peach halves; place a whole clove in each. Set aside.
For Biscuits
Preheat oven to 425*F. Mix until dough forms; beat 30 seconds.
When chicken has baked a total of 1 hour, push to one end of pan. Drop
biscuits on other end. Place peach halves on top of chicken. Bake
another 15 minutes or until biscuits are browned.
