Ingredients
- 4 lbs. sweet potatoes
- 1/4 c. butter
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1
Peel sweet potatoes lengthwise and place in 8 x 10 baking dish.
In a saucepan, melt butter and add remaining ingredients. Simmer five minutes and pour over sweet potatoes. Bake at 400 degrees for one hour. Stir after 30 minutes. May need to lay foil over the potatoes for first 30 minutes.
