Ingredients

  • 2-1/4 C all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 C (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 3/4 C granulated sugar
  • 3/4 C packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vannilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 C (12 oz pkg) Hersheys' semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • I like the milk choc. chips..
  • 1 C chopped nuts ( optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 375
Stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until creamy. Add eggs, beat will. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well. Stir in chocolate chhips and nuts ( if desired).

Drop by rounded tsp onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 mins. or until lightly browned. Cool slightly. remove form cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.

also can make in a pan..spread batter in a greased 15-1/2 x 10-1/2 x1 " jelly roll pan. Bake @ 375 for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely..cut into bars..about 4 dz.
