Ingredients
- Pie Pastry for 9″ Double Crust
- 5 cups peaches, peeled & sliced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Line the bottom of a 9″ pie plate with pastry.
Put the peaches in a large bowl and sprinkle with the lemon juice, mixing gently. In a separate bowl, mix together the four, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Gently stir the flour mixture with the peaches. Pour into the prepared pie plate. Cut the butter into small pieces and put on top of the peaches. Place the top crust on top of the peaches and cut small slits for vents.
Bake for 10 minutes at 450 degrees F, then decrease the temperate to 350 degrees F. Bake for 35 to 45 more minutes or until top is lightly browned. Cover the edges with foil if they are getting too brown.
