Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon unflavored gelatin
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup cherry juice
- 8 ounces chopped Maraschino Cherries
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups whipped cream
- 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon almond flavoring
- 1/3 cup blanched almonds, finely chopped

Preparation
Step 1
Soften gelatin in a pyrex cup with the 1/4 cup water for 5 minutes. Place cup in shallow pan of bopiling water, stir until gelatin is completely dissolved. Add the cherries, cherry juice, sugar and salt, chill until slightly thickened. Fold the cherry mixture, almonds and flavorings into the whipped cream.
