  • 1 large boneless rib roast
  • seasonings (pepper, garlic salt, seasoned salt)

Step 1

Mix equal parts of whatever seasonings you like-we like lots of pepper. Put on thawed roast and let it set (you can do this a couple of days ahead and leave in refrigerator).
Bake one hour on open broiling pan at 375 degrees (don't cover).
Turn off oven-never open door-leave oven off at least one hour.
Turn on heat to 325-350 degrees.
45 minutes for rare
50 mintues for medium
55 minutes for well done
Take from oven and cover and let rest about 5 to 10 minutes. Cut with electric knife. Serve with any packaged aus jus.
