Almond Pear Cream Cheese Torte

Ingredients
- 1/2 c (1 stick) butter softened
- 1 c sugar, divided
- 1 c flour
- 1 8oz pkg cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 4 c sliced peeled pears (about 4 medium)
- 1/4 c sliced almonds

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat over to 425. Beat butter and 1/3 c of sugar in small bowl w/electric mixer on med speed until light and fluffy. Add flour; mix well. Spread firmly onto bottom and 1 in up sides of a 9in springform pan.
Beat cream cheese and 1/3 c of remaining sugar in same bowl w/electric mixer on med speed until well blended. (Make sure completely free of lumps and smooth before adding any other ingredients). Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Spread evenly over crust. Combine remaining 1/3 c sugar and the cinnamon. Add to pears in a large bowl; toss to coat. Arrange over cream cheese layer; sprinkle w/ almonds.
Bake 10 min. Reduce temp to 375 and continue baking 25 min or until center is set. Cool on wire rack. Loosen torte from rim of pan. Cover and refrigerate 3 hr before serving. Store leftovers in refrigerator.
