Ingredients
- 5 cups old fashioned rolled oats (do not use quick cooking oats)
- 1 cup wheat germ
- 1/2 cup wheat bran
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup powdered nonfat milk
- 2 tsp lemon zest

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 300. Grease a large, rimmed baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
In a very large bowl, combine the oats, wheat bran, wheat germ, sesame seeds and salt. In a separate bowl, combine the honey, oil, powdered milk, and lemon zest. Pour the wet mixture over the dry and toss to coat evenly.
Spread the mixture on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 40-45min, stirring every 15min. Do not let the mixture brown too much.
Remove the pan from the oven and allow the granola to cool completely.
Freezing Instructions:
Store in a plastic container or freezer bag in the freezer.
To thaw and serve:
Thaw the granola in its container on the counter.
