Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 3 T butter, melted
- 1 1/3 cups pecans, chopped
- 1 cup butter, room temp
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 t vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 2 t baking powder
- 1/4 t salt
- 1 cup milk
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/4 cup butter, room temp
- 1 lb powdered sugar
- 1 t vanilla
- pecans

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350. Grease and flour cake pans (2-8 or 9 inch round). Brown pecans with melted butter on baking sheet until golden brown, stir often. (10-15 minutes)
Cream butter, add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla, beat in eggs one at a time.
Add sifted dry ingredients alternating with milk. Fold in 1 cup pecans. Bake 30-35 minutes.
Frosting: Beat cream cheese, butter and sugar until smooth. Fold in the remaining pecans.
