Ingredients

  • 8 oz. salad greens, washed, dried,torn into bite-sized pieces (use lettuce or spinach, or combination of lettuces)
  • Hearts of palm, thinly sliced
  • Red or Vidalia onion
  • 1 c. frozen green peas, thawed
  • 1 c. slightly-steamed asparagus
  • 1 can chopped artichokes
  • Shredded carrots
  • Thinly-sliced onion
  • Sliced bell peppers
  • Sliced mushrooms
  • 1 pt. mayonnaise (or 1/2 sour cream & 1/2 mayonnaise)
  • Grated Cheddar. Romano, Parmesan cheese (or cheese of your choice)

Preparation

Step 1

Put greens in bottom of bowl. Add hearts of palm, red or Vidalia onion, green peas. asparagus, artichokes, carrots, onion, bell peppers, mushrooms, or anything you choose. Do about 4 layers. Spread mayonnaise (or sour cream/mayonnaise) over top. sealing edges. Sprinkle top with grated Cheddar. Romano cheese, Parmesan cheese (or cheese of your choice). Garnish with cherry tomatoes, crumbled bacon, sliced hard-boiled eggs, croutons, black or Spanish olives, chives, parsley, water¬cress. Toss well at serving time.
