Texas Sheet Cake

Ingredients

• Frosting:
• 2 sticks butter
• 4T cocoa
• 1 cup butter
• 2 cups flour
• 2 cups sugar
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup sour cream
• 1 stick butter
• 4 T cocoa
• 1/3 cup milk

Preparation

Step 1

In large boiler melt
2 stick butter
4 T cocoa
1 cup water

Remove above from heat and add:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream

Mix well and pour into greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 for 22 minutes.

Frosting:
1 stick butter
4 T cocoa
1/3 cup milk

Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add 1 lbs powdered sugar; sifted. Mix well and pour over warm cake. Sprinkle with walnuts if desired
