Ingredients
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 28-oz. can tomatoes, cut up
- 1 16-oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 6-oz. can tomato paste
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 12 oz. spaghetti, cooked and drained
- 4 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 c. grated parmesan cheese

Step 1
In a large pan, cook ground beef, onion and garlic until meat is browned. Drain off fat. Stir rest of ingredients into the pot except the spaghetti and cheeses. Simmer, uncovered, for about 30 minutes. Stir in drained spaghetti. Put half of spaghetti mixture in a greased 9 x 13” pan. Cover with half the Mozzarella cheese. Add rest of spaghetti mixture. Top with rest of Mozzarella and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake at 375° for about 30 minutes. (You can make this ahead of time and freeze or refrigerate it, but it should be at room temperature before baking.)
