Ingredients
- 1 loaf raisin bread, cubed
- 2 cans (385 ml) evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/3 cups brown sugar
- raisins
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1/8 - 1/4 cup whiskey or rum flavouring
- Sauce
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 3 Tbsp flour
- pinch salt
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp rum flavouring or 1/4 cup whiskey or rum

Preparation
Step 1
Place bread in slow cooker. Pour milk over and let sit for 30 min. Combine all other ingredients. Pour over bread and stir. Cook 3 hours on low.
Sauce
Melt butter. Mix in flour and salt. Add water and stir until it thickens and boils. Add brown sugar and rum. Stir to dissolve. Makes about 2 cups.
