SUGAR COOKIES

• 1/3 C butter
• 1/3 C shortening
• 3/4 C sugar
• 1 t baking powder
• 1 dash salt
• 1 egg
• 1 t vanilla
• 2 C flour

Preparation

Step 1

1. Beat butter and shortening for 30 seconds.
2..Add sugar, baking powder and salt. Beat together.
3. Beat in egg and vanilla.
4. Gradually add flour.
5. Divide dough in half. Cover and chill for 3 hours.
6. Roll out dough 1/8" thick.
7. Cut out cookies with cookie cutters.
8. Place cookies on ungreased cookie sheet.
9. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-8 minutes.
