Ingredients

3 C apple cider or juice
1/4 C sugar
3 sticks cinnamon
6 whole cloves
peel of 1/4 lemon cut in stripes
3 1/4 C dry white wine
2 T lemon juice

Preparation

Step 1

In saucepan combine apple cider, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and lemon peel. Bring to boiling stirring until sugar is dissolved. Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes. Strain to remove spices if desired. Add wine and lemon juice. Heat but do not boil.
