Ingredients

  • 5-6 Lb Whole Chicken
  • 1 T Salt
  • 2 t Sugar
  • 1/4 t Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 t Onion Powder
  • 1/4 t Paprika
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1/2 t Black Pepper
  • 1 T Fresh Basil
  • 2 T Olive Oil

Step 1

Mix salt, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and pepper. Squeeze lemon over chicken and place halves inside cavity. Rub with olive oil and sprickle with dry mixture. Chop basil and sprinkle over chicken.

Bake at 350 degrees according to weight in shallow roasting pan. (20-25 minutes per pound)
