Ingredients

• 1 cup chili sauce
• 3/4 cup water
• 1/4 cup lemon juice
• 1 envelope (1 3/8 ounce) onion soup mix
• 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon dry mustard
• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients in medium glass bowl. Microwave at *high* 5 minutes and at *medium-low* 8 to 10 minutes; stir occasionally. Sauce should be slightly thickened. Use as basing sauce on chicken, ribs, hamburgers, etc.
