Ingredients
- 1 cup plain corn meal
- 1/2 cup plain flour, sifted
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1 (16-oz) can cream-style corn
- sweet milk, if needed

Step 1
Mix dry ingredients. Add onion and corn. Mix well. If more liquid si needed to make desired consistency, add a little sweet milk. Drop heaping teaspoons into deep hot fat. Fry until golden brown.
