Pickled Beets

One of Duane's favorite side dishes.

Ingredients

• 2 c. sugar
• 2 c. water
• 2 c. strong vinegar
• 1 teas. cloves
• 1 teas. cinnamon
• 1 teas. allspice
• cooked red beets

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients and bring to a boil. Add cooked beets to syrup and cook for 10 minutes. Put in jars and process 20 minutes.
