Date & Nut Pinwheels

Date Mixture:
1 lb dates
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup white sugar
3/4 cup nuts (chopped fine)

Cook till slightly thick, add nuts last.
Bake at 400 degrees, 10 min.

Ingredients

• Dough
• 2 cups sifted flour
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Cream sugar and butter. Add egg and vanilla (mix well). Add sifted dairy ingredients and mix.
Roll dough out on floured board and spread Date Mixture.
