Ingredients

  • Base:
  • 1/2 c. soft margarine
  • 2 c. graham wafer crumbs
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • Middle:
  • 2 tbsp. custard powder
  • 1/4 c. soft butter
  • 2 c. sifted icing sugar
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • Icing:
  • 4 squares semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 tbsp. butter

Preparation

Step 1

Combine butter, sugar and cocoa in the top of a double boiler. Heat over hot water and stir until butter melts. Remove from heat.
Beat egg with a fork to combine yolk and white; add to the first mixture and mix well.
Add graham wafer crumbs and coconut. Mix thoroughly.
Pack into greased pan.
Combine ingredients for middle layer and spread carefully over base. Chill until firm.
Melt chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring constantly.
Spread evenly over the mixtures. Chill until firm.
