Ingredients

  • 3lbs ground beef
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1-2 celery ribs, chopped
  • 2 tsp beef bouillon granules
  • 2/3 cup boiling water
  • 2 cans (28oz) baked beans
  • ½ cup molasses
  • 1 ½ cups ketchup
  • ¼ cup prepared mustard
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-4 jalapenos , diced
  • 2-3 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ lb sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a dutch oven over medium heat, cook beef, onions and celery until meat is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain.

2. Dissolve bouillon in water; stir into beef mixture. Add the rest of the ingredients except for the bacon.

3. Cover and bake at 375F for 60-70 mins or until bubbly. Stir and top with bacon.

Note: This dish could be cooked in a slow cooker on low for 4-6 hours.
