Chocolate Chip Cookies (Good)

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
• 1/4 cup white sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 cup flour (unsifted) + 2 tbsp.
• 1/2 tsp. baking soda
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 cup chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening and sugars. Add egg and beat well. Add vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients, chocolate chips and nuts.

Bake at 375 deg. for 10 - 12 minutes or until golden. Do not overcook.

Makes 3 dozen.
