Nana Kreitz's Fruit Salad


Fruit salad with a cooked whipped dressing. A tradition for our Thanksgiving dessert. Our Thanksgiving has always had this for our dessert as far back as I can remember.

  • Dressing:
  • 4 Egg Yolks
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp Pineapple Juice
  • 1 Tbsp Water
  • 1 Container Heavy Whipping Cream
  • Fruit:
  • 1 Lg Can of Peaches
  • 1 Lg Can of Pineapple
  • 2 Cans of Royal Ann Cherries
  • 6 - 7 Bananas


Servings 12
Preparation time 30mins
Cooking time 35mins


Step 1

Drain friut thouroughly. Make sure it is well drained.

Boil first 5 Ingredients until it thickens. Let cool.

Cream Heavy Whipping Cream and mix with above dressing. Refrigerate.

Best if made the same day. The next day it starts to become watery.
