Ingredients

  • Flling:
  • 2 pkg vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 1/4 c milk
  • 2 t vanilla
  • 1/2 c heavy cream
  • Cake:
  • 1 1/4 c flour
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 1/2 t baking powder
  • 3/4 c milk
  • 1/3 c shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 t vanilla
  • Glaze:
  • 3 T butter
  • 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 3/4 t vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Add pudding and milk and cook to thick. Stir in vanilla. Cover with plastic and cool. Beat heavy cream and fold into pudding when cooled. Make cake. Make glaze by melting butter, 3 T water, chocolate and sugar. heat until smooth, add vanilla. To assemble. Cut cake in half, horizontally. Place pudding filling between layers. Pour glaze over cake and refridgerate.
