  • 1 teaspoon Clear Vanilla Extract
  • 2 Tablespoons Milk
  • 1 cup Crisco (Shortening)
  • 1 Tablespoon Meringue Powder (Michael's) (It acts as a stabilizer)
  • 1 Lb sifter Confectioners' sugar (4 cups)
  • 1 pinch of Salt
  • Food Coloring

Step 1

1) Sift sugar and meringue powder together in a large mixing bowl and set aside
2) In a separate bowl, cream together vanilla, shortening, and milk
3) Gradually add sifted dry ingredients and mix on medium speed until it is creamy. Color as you choose
