Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 1/3 cup sugar
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp ground allspice
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1 can (10 3/4 oz) tomato soup
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup water

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour two 8 inch round cake pans, set aside. Mix first seven ingredients. Add last four ingredients. Mix at low speed until well mixed, then at high speed, beat 4 minutes. Pour into prepared pans. Bake at 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from pan and cool completely on rack. Frost with cream cheese frosting.
