Toffee Bars

Ingredients

• 1 cup Butter
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 egg yolk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 cups flour
• Chocolate chips
• Finely chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Thoroughly cream butter, brown sugar, egg yolk and vanilla. Add flour and mix well. Put into greased cookie sheet and spread out evenly. Bake 18 to 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
Sprinkle chocolate chips on bars when removed from oven, let melt and spread evenly, sprinkle with chopped nuts. Let cool; cut into squares.
