  • 1/2 Sauce - 1/2 t
  • 1 - 1 T
  • 12 - 12 oz
  • 1/2 Sauce - 1/2 t
  • 2 shrimp - 2 lbs
  • 2 or vegetable oil - 2 quarts

Step 1

Fill a large Dutch oven with oil up to 2-3 inches. Heat it up to 350° F, monitoring the temperature consistently with a thermometer.

Combine 1 cup of flour, salt, and paprika in large bowl. Whisk in beer, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce with the flour.

Dredge shrimp in flour then dip in the batter. Fry in the hot oil for about 5 minutes.

Remove from oil and lay each shrimp on a plate lined with a paper towel. Let them sit for 5 minutes, then dig in.
