Ingredients
- Glaze:
- 3 eggs
- 2 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 1 1/4 cup mil
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
- 3 cups flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 teaspoon butter flavoring
- 1 1/2 Tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 teaspoon butter flavoring

Step 1
Beat together eggs and sugar. Add and beat 2 minutes vegetable oil, milk, salt, flavorings, flour, baking powder and vanilla. Add poppy seeds and blend. Pour batter into 2 greased floured (8-inch) loaf pans.
Bake 1 hour at 325 to 350 degrees F. Leave in pans. While hot, poke holes in the top and glaze.
Pour glaze over hot poppy seed bread.
