- 3 large cans crushed tomatoes
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- onion, minced
- 1 carrot - whole, peeled
- fresh basil, chopped
- dried oregano
- red wine
- salt, pepper
- evoo

Step 1
sweat onion and garlic in evoo.
add tomatoes, oregano, salt & pepper and simmer about 1 1/2 hours, adding 1/2 c red wine every 15 min. add basil during last 15 min. remove carrot before serving.
